A K-12 Curriculum Built for Every Learner
California Math & YOU fosters student-centered learning by building strong connections and emphasizing real-world applications. With a focus on problem-solving, reasoning, and student-driven inquiry, the program helps students engage with math in meaningful, relevant contexts—deepening understanding and building confidence in their mathematical abilities.
"YOU" Approach
Content language and imagery are purposefully written so that students see themselves in the mathematics. By fostering personal connections, incorporating cultural relevance, and creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences, the curriculum ensures that all learners feel represented and empowered in their mathematical journey.

Every lesson incorporates real-world scenarios that are relatable and relevant to students’ lives. This ensures that students see the value of mathematics beyond the classroom and understand its impact on their daily experiences.
Equitable Learning Environment
Equity in Action notes are embedded throughout the teaching edition to encourage equitable math instruction. These notes provide guidance on fostering an inclusive learning environment, supporting students’ social and emotional learning, and ensuring that diverse backgrounds and experiences are represented in mathematical problem-solving.
