California Math & YOU is a dynamic, K–12 mathematics program built to align with the 2023 California Mathematics Framework.

Created to spark curiosity and build confidence, the program offers engaging, relevant content that reflects the real-world issues and interests of students, educators, and their communities.

With a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, mathematical fluency, and practical application, California Math & YOU integrates the big ideas of mathematics across grade levels, empowering students to think critically, problem solve, and build a strong foundation for future success in STEM and beyond.

"YOU" Approach

Content language and imagery are purposefully written so that students see themselves in the mathematics. By fostering personal connections, incorporating cultural relevance, and creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences, the curriculum ensures that all learners feel represented and empowered in their mathematical journey.

Equitable Learning Environment

Equity in Action notes are embedded throughout the teaching edition to encourage equitable math instruction. These notes provide guidance on fostering an inclusive learning environment, supporting students’ social and emotional learning, and ensuring that diverse backgrounds and experiences are represented in mathematical problem-solving.

Student-Centered Learning

Features throughout the program support student-centered learning by offering relevant content, accessible language, and a lesson design that empowers students to take ownership of their learning.

California Math & YOU provides students with grade-appropriate resources to support learning beyond the classroom. From Big Ideas of the Chapter at-home activities and family letters to instructional support via QR code, a Game Library, and easy access to the student edition on the digital experience, the program ensures students feel supported in their math journey—wherever learning happens.

California Mathematics Curriculum for Grades K-12

The engaging, relevant material in California Math & YOU is designed to ignite student learning from kindergarten through high school (K–12).

California Math & YOU encourages students to become strategic thinkers and problem-solvers through content that enables them to see themselves in the mathematics while providing teachers with the support and tools they need to motivate, engage, and assess students. 

This program is built on the 2023 California Mathematics Framework and is fully aligned to the California Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS).
